One Water: Our Water AJ

A partnership between the City of Apache Junction, the AJ Water District, & Arizona Water Company.

Most soil in the valley is clay-based, which means that although it takes a while for water to be absorbed into the soil, once it is in there, the soil holds on to it well. For healthy roots, the soil needs to dry out 50% - 80% before watering again!

While water is important for plant roots, so is oxygen, so don’t water too frequently or else you can risk suffocating the roots from oxygen. #watertips

Use pressure-regulated drip emitters at the end of the spaghetti tubing. These emitters help ensure that there is as much pressure at the front of the line as there is at the end of the line, and they are around the same cost as standard flag emitters. #watertips
